Reesa Barkhouse is DFT's Development Director! Reesa grew up in Toronto and started dancing at the age of 3 at For the Love of It Studio - she attended an arts high school as a dance major and fostered her love of choreographing. While there, she competed provincially with lyrical, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop works, winning choreographic distinctions. She also taught and choreographed at her local studio and regional musical productions with Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre. Reesa continued to pursue her passion at Western University, completing a BA in Anthropology and Dance. Western’s Dance program was an artistically and technically enriching experience where she studied Improvisation, Modern, Ballet, Theatre Dance, Interdisciplinary Creation and completed a yearlong independent study in Contemporary Composition and Production. Reesa had the best time of her life being part of UWO Dance Force, teaching and choreographing for 3 years and leading as President in her final year.…
